Gil is originally from Santa Maria Huatulco, his parents, farmers and fishermen taught him from a young age to enjoy nature in their land and sea waters; he was created with a solid foundation of good values, which made him a disciplined, enterprising, and respectful man, loved by many of his neighbors in his town.

Exploring the sea led him to know, respect and enjoy good company, from a very young age he started surfing and we can say that he became addicted to the adrenaline of such a challenging sport, and without imagining what was already his passion for the sea was now his source of income, and thanks to his efforts he was able to open his business, "Café Surf", since then he is an experienced guide who shares with his good friends and over time with visitors from all over the world the passion for surfing in the Oaxacan coast.

In addition to surfing; Gil also became passionate about outdoor activities such as trail running, mountain biking, stand up paddle boarding etc., his experience in these activities has led him to understand that the only way to have a high performance in any physical activity and give the best of oneself is to have a balance between harmony with nature, a good rest and by this we mean a total rest of mind and spirit, and of course it is essential a good diet, these essential elements for high performance when performing an activity, and that is why his surf program is born based on his personal experience as a seasoned athlete.

Over the years thanks to this noble work of guiding many surfers around the world, Gil made good friends in this industry, because during a surf trip you spend time driving in search of the best waves, sharing barrels, laughter, experiences, stories and so you get to know each other, All that time together usually becomes more than just a particular taste, but a friendship that lasts forever, because when you love what you do, it is no longer a job, it is an endless adventure and those who accompany you make it until the last minute of each day incredibly unforgettable.

Our host thanks to his connections and experience, has been part of several events and projects such as "The Search 2006", and traveled to Hossegor for the "Rip Curl Pro Super Series" the following year. He also hosted the Spanish Crew -Benjamin Sanchis, Jonathan Gonzalez, Gony Zubizarreta for the surf movie "Un mezcal en cada mano", and the Metal Neck with Andrew Doheny, Alex Knots and Ford Archibold. He was part of the cover of Surf Magazine with Dustin Barca doing a giant air in 2010.

With all that Gil, still retains its essence, and continues to work to share the best of the experiences in their tours and above all opening his heart to new friends who want to join his adventure along the coasts of Oaxaca.
