Huatulco Bays offers natural scenery, crystal-clear and warm waters, and ideal temperatures during the winter which invites you to do alternative tourism, extreme sports and ecotourism activities.

It has become one of the favorite winter destinations for those who want not only sunny beaches but desire to discover and be part of an authentic Mexican experience, Huatulco is surrounded by natural beauty and has a lot to offer.

SURF LESSON COACHING PROGRAM

SURF LESSON

The Oaxaca Coast is a wild beauty, nature still strongly over tops this area, offering a mystical and unique connection with the scenery, it’s a very special place to take your first surf lesson or improve your surfing abilities!

Surf lessons are for beginners and advanced beginners. The class will occur early morning, the lesson consists in a 20-minute lesson on the beach explaining ocean dynamics, paddling, popping-up, stance and water safety, followed by a 4 hours surf lesson to allow to practice the theoretical class and get the first wave. The beach on which we perform the class has a sandy bottom and the wave is very soft, it is located at 45 minutes from our shop.

COACHING PROGRAM

The surf coaching sessions take place mainly throughout the morning (half day), in the afternoons different optional activities will be available such as mountain bike tours or running trails to work on your cardio, yoga session and meditation to work on your breathing and also recreational activities such as stand up paddle boarding, snorkeling, or exploring the waterfalls.

Our surf coaching programs for intermediate surfers is designed to improve your surfing in an easy and accessible way, whether surfing a longboard or a shortboard... Improve your surfing thanks to our training methods to:

STAND UP PADDLE BOARDING

Stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) is a water sport activity in which surfing is done while standing. The paddler stands on the board and uses the paddle to cruise through the water. The sport originated in Hawaii in the 1900s and has spread to other parts of regions across the globe.

Huatulco seems to be designed for Stand Up Paddleboarding, with 36 paradise beaches of beautiful warm, clear and quiet clear waters along the coast of Oaxaca, Huatulco offers a lots of possibility to the one who wants to try a new sport and gets a sense of adventure. The instructor will welcome you early morning at the time of your scheduled lesson at our shop in Santa Cruz Bay.

Once you will be ready for diving into your lesson, the instructor will start with a warm up and an on-land preparation, you will receive a theoretical class about Stand up Paddle Board techniques and maneuvers, you will be informed about the possible risks and received essential safety information. Stand Up Paddle Boarding Lessons are realized in Santa Cruz Bay.

SUNRISE STAND UP PADDLE BOARD TOUR

The Sunrise paddle board tour will take your breath away, be able to witness the sun rising above the Ocean is just a magical instant – pink, orange skies and calm morning waters. It’s an amazing way to discover Santa Cruz bay. You also will be able to put snorkel equipment on and explore the life below the sea.

Our Sunrise SUP Tour is a spectacular experience from start to finish. From there, your day is only just beginning.

Your guide will welcome you 15 minutes before your scheduled departure at our shop in Santa Cruz Bay. Once you arrive, we will get ready for a brief paddle from Santa Cruz Beach in direction to the lighthouse to watch the sun rising. From there, we will paddle to La Entrega Beach where you will be able to rest, to swim in crystalline calm waters, you will get an opportunity to experience the beach before the daytime crowds & boats traffic, and have a chance to snorkel—if you choose by your own. Then, direction to Punta Paraiso to discover its mirador, and no far away the turtle sanctuary of Punta Santa Cruz, to get back to return to our starting point - Santa Cruz Beach.

Our Sunrise SUP Tour logs a total distance of about 2-3 nautical miles.

PADDLE BOARD RENTALS

Our Stand Up Paddle Boards (SUP) can be rented only to customers who have previous experience paddling on a SUP in the ocean. If you are a beginner or this is your first time paddling on the ocean, we can offer you a professional lesson—which includes important technique and safety information to make your paddle much more enjoyable. Plus, a lesson is not much more of an investment than a regular rental rate.

Rentals are only for use in Santa Cruz bay. If you are interested in paddling out to the lighthouse, or Chahue Bay, book a tour with us and we will be happy to guide you around.

NOTE: Previous SUP experience in the ocean is required to rent a board.

PRIVATE SNORKEL & PADDLE BOARDING BAYS TOURS

Enjoy the wonders that the destination offers with its spectacular bays and beaches, you will observe the beautiful scenery of the bays of Santa Cruz, Organo, Maguey, Cacaluta, Chachacual and San Agustin.

The best way to explore is booking our Snorkel and Paddle Boarding bays tour so you get to see the bays in Huatulco National Park, which are best accessed by boat.

We love to start early morning to have the chance to explore the coastline and get into the warm water of National Park before the daytime crowds and boats traffic.

The captain will be waiting for you at the shop on the day and time of your pre-booked excursion, the boat will leave Santa Cruz Bay in direction of deep waters to have the opportunity to see dolphins or whales depending on the time of your visit, the crew will bring you to San Agustin Bay where you will be able to jump into the water and explore its beautiful reef, and/or take a Stand Up paddle board with you to explore more remoted reef location and cruise to Riscalillo Beach just near by.

MOUNTAIN BIKING TOUR

This tour offers incredible trails for mountain biking through National Park Huatulco. The tour will start at our shop in Santa Cruz Bays, we will enter into National Park trails quickly after jumping in the bike until the stunning Cacaluta Bay where there will be free time to swim in the ocean or enjoy the view. After 30 minutes we’ll back to the trail and return to our starting point.

Depending on the season, the national park can be green and lush or dry and arid but either way you will be amazed by the natural beauty of this place.

A journey in the waters of the Mexican Pacific, where the fun and experience of fishing in open water is skin deep. The crew takes you to the best spots to catch a big fish!

The best time to fish near Huatulco is winter for mahi mahi, yellowfin tuna, amberjack, and wahoo. For marlin (blue and black), sailfish, and snook, May through September is the best fishing season.

A set of 30 waterfalls, the largest 20 meters high, formed waterfalls Copalitilla. About an hour from Huatulco is an ideal place to spend the day swimming in the natural pools that form.
